Israeli Avocado

The avocado season in Israel runs from September to April, covering approximately weeks 36 to 17.

The season begins with the early green-skin variety Ettinger, followed by the main commercial varieties Hass and Pinkerton.

Reed is the final variety of the year, extending availability toward the end of the season.

Israel exports avocados primarily to Europe, including the UK, France, the Netherlands, Germany, and Scandinavia supported by short transit times and strong post-harvest quality. 

Availability

Hass avocados are available from mid/late October until April, weeks 42/43 to week 16. **Depending on the dry matter percentage from week to week. Class 1 and class 2 available

Packing

Hass avocados are packed in 4 kg cardboard boxes or 10 kg plastic crates. A 10 kg cardboard box is also available upon request.

Availability

Pinkerton avocados are available from November until March, weeks 44 to week 13.
